Although a multi-million dollar jackpot hasn't been won at a local 7-Eleven in years, people can't seem to think of it as anything but lucky. The last few major jackpots have been won at Chevron convenience or Good Time stores, yet our voters didn't seem to take that into account when checking their ballots. Maybe in a game of odds you're betting "seven out" or on the "yo." And on intuition alone, you might be on to something. On July 5, 2006, 7-Eleven announced it had purchased 40 Good Time stores in the El Paso area, and once converted, it will bring the total number of 7-Elevens to 89 stores, making it the largest convenience store operator in El Paso. So ... back to the odds, with this latest development chances are lucky numbers 7 and 11 are due to pay out. 2002 N.
