When Eloise first opened, it occupied one suite, and served coffee, beer, wine, cocktails and sandwiches. Now, this whimsical, elegant coffee bar hybrid occupies three suites and serves two blends of French press coffee (along with espresso drinks) courtesy of Picacho Roasters, as well an expansive menu.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner items are available all day, while a brunch menu is offered on weekends. Menu items are made with mostly organic and locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast includes an omelette, amaranth, fruit and yogurt and a couple of combination plates. Shareables include meat and cheese plates, Granny Smith apple guacamole, vegetable mango skewers and a tampiqueno cocktail with ribeye, green chile, cheese and more.
Signature sandwiches like the ajo turkey club with bacon and the vegan Reuben with avocado have been kept on the menu. These sandwiches share space with over 15 other unique sandwiches (sides sold separately). Salads are also still available, but new to the menu are bowls, which include a tikka masala, caldillo, Hatch green curry with chickpeas and customer favorite, succotash hash with lima beans, potatoes, corn, tomatoes and charred greens with lavash. Vegan favorite seitan, also known as wheat gluten or “wheat meat,” is made in house and prevalent throughout the menu.
Plates include a ribeye rubbed with guajillo and espresso, trout marinated in Moroccan spices baked on a cedar plank, pan-seared cauliflower with turmeric root, honey and Hatch green curry-basted salmon, chicken braised in red wine and served with popped amaranth seeds and more.
Drink happy hour is offered daily, and Eloise participates in the nationwide initiative, Meatless Monday, offering a discount on their many vegetarian and vegan options. Don’t forget to take advantage of 10 mostly seasonal, unique liquor infusions. A rotating assortment of craft beers is on tap, but you can always find Lone Star flowing. Dessert options include Barbara’s Breads, along with weekly features.
