1/8 Pizza Pub adds to the incredible bar and restaurant renaissance that the 5 Points neighborhood is currently experiencing. The cozy space looks like an elegant European-style bistro complete with dark wood finishes, globe light fixtures, a marble bar counter, and white hex-tiled floors. This casual meeting spot is perfect to enjoy cocktails, wine and beer (bottled and draught) with their menu of shareables.
Small plates include fried veggies, bruschetta, sausage and peppers, shrimp diavolo with rice and fritto misto (mixed fried seafood). The Eastern Salad is a welcome change with a mix of greens topped with a citrusy, buttery rice, feta and olives. It’s filling on its own, but chicken, shrimp or sausage can be added for an additional charge. For those unwilling to share, more substantial plates are offered, like NY steak, linguini and clams, a burger, a weekly sandwich feature, cioppino (seafood stew) and pasta with your choice of pesto, white or red sauce. Rotating daily soups like clam chowder and a daily vegetable are also offered.
The focus of the menu is their namesake thin pizza served on wooden cutting boards. Rustic, misshapen pizzas can serve two and be ordered from one of their five signature offerings or you can create a custom pizza with various sauces and ingredient options. Their pizzas are light on the cheese and heavy on their bright, robust tomato sauce, which highlights the crispy, flavorful crust. Signature pizza options include chicken pesto with tomatoes and ricotta, shrimp and clams with white sauce, the Suprimo with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, bell pepper, onions and mushrooms, Neapolitan with red sauce parmesan and anchovies, and their Margarita version with red sauce, mozzarella, basil and arugula.
A slice of cheesecake topped with berries or a chocolate martini will finish off your meal sweetly.
