This April a new and slightly tastier version of the automobile hit the road. Founder Steve Hernandez stepped on the gas and introduced El Paso to its latest mobile eatery: Create Gourmet Eats.
"I wanted to create - no pun intended - a concept that people would respond to other than burritos and tacos," he said. "I didn't want to be known as a typical taco truck. I wanted to bring something different to the streets."
With his act of difference, Hernandez earned plenty of street cred. As Create Gourmet Eats rolls everywhere from the Far Eastside to San Jacinto Plaza, each stop has followers yearning for more.
"We have four different house burgers to choose from: Turkey Cobb, Portabella, Good ol' Bacon and the Chorizo Torta. You also have the option to create your own burger, hence the name Create. Oh, and we make freshly baked brownies every day. Hell, everything on this truck is made freshly every day."
